Carlos completed his Doctoral degree in Orchestral Conducting under the tutelage of the legendary American conductor, Gerard Schwarz. Given Maestro Schwarz's pivotal role as his mentor, Carlos focused his doctoral research on a comprehensive study titled 'A Modern Performance Edition of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony Number Nine in D Minor, Opus 125, Based on the Annotations, Career Experience, and Performance Practice of Gerard Schwarz.' This groundbreaking dissertation reflects his unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of classical music interpretation and performance, drawing inspiration from his mentor's exceptional work.

Carlos has showcased his extraordinary conducting skills through compelling performances of renowned works, including Elgar's Enigma Variations, Stravinsky's Firebird, and Dvorak's 8th Symphony, among others. Furthermore, he has collaborated closely with Maestro Schwarz, actively contributing to the production of a significant number of concerts in partnership with Palm Beach Symphony. These concerts have featured world-class soloists such as Hélène Grimaud, Yefim Bronfman, Maria João Pires, violinist Midori, and clarinetist Jon Manasse.
